Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Art and Teak Furniture. By engaging our services, purchasing our handcrafted pieces, or utilizing our export facilities, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies ensure the preservation of our 20-year legacy and the satisfaction of our global clientele.
1. Product Authenticity & Natural Variation
Every piece of Art and Teak furniture is handcrafted by artisans in Jepara.
Nature of Teak: As teak is a natural material, variations in grain, color, and texture are to be expected and are celebrated as signs of authenticity.
Handmade Character: Because our furniture is hand-carved and hand-finished, minor variations in dimensions and details may occur compared to catalog images. These are not defects but unique artistic signatures.
2. Production & Lead Times
Quality takes time. Our standard production lead time for antique reproductions typically ranges from 6 to 10 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design and current kiln-drying schedules. We will provide an estimated completion date upon order confirmation.
3. Payment Terms
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to initiate production.
Balance: The remaining 50% balance, including shipping costs (if applicable), must be settled in full prior to the dispatch of goods from our Jepara facility.
4. Shipping & Export Quality
Global Standards: All items are packed to international export standards using high-grade protective materials to ensure safe transit.
FOB/CIF Agreements: Shipping terms will be clearly defined in your Proforma Invoice (typically FOB Tanjung Emas, Semarang).
Import Duties: The customer is responsible for all local customs duties, taxes, and clearance fees in the destination country.
5. Quality Assurance & Returns
With over 20 years of export experience, we maintain rigorous quality control.
Pre-Shipment Inspection: Customers or third-party inspectors are welcome to inspect goods prior to packing. We also provide high-resolution photos/videos of the finished pieces for remote approval.
Damage Claims: In the rare event of transit damage, claims must be filed within 7 days of receipt, accompanied by photographic evidence and original packaging.
6. Sustainability & Compliance
Art and Teak Furniture is committed to legal and sustainable forestry. All our timber is sourced in compliance with SVLK (Indonesian Timber Legality Assurance System) regulations, ensuring your furniture is ethically produced and legally exported.
7. Order Cancellations
Cancellations made after production has commenced will result in the forfeiture of the deposit, as our pieces are often made-to-order or involve significant material preparation.
Note: These terms are designed to protect the integrity of the artisanal process and ensure a transparent partnership between our workshop and your home or business.
